3. The Moesgaard Museum is dedicated to the exploration of the Iron Age and the Vikings. There you can find the oldest bogman in Denmark, see actual Viking houses (reconstructed) and experience real live-action Viking wars. It is lots of fun. There is an admission to the museum and indoor exhibits, but it is possible to walk around the grounds for free and see the many buildings.

4. Tivoli Friheden is an amusement park just south of the city and is similar to Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, but Friheden tends to be more about amusements and less about the gardens. There are plenty of rides, including the famous Cobra, and lots of concerts and events - a great place for children and families.

5. Concert Hall Aarhus is another fantastic place to visit. You can actually get into the hall for free and walk around if there are no major concerts going on. But it's well worth getting a ticket to one of their many concerts or activities which go on almost every day. Many of the concerts are free or have very small admission charges.
